hoarding no more

it took me
a few
extra attempts...
.
...before i could go in
and really start dealing
with the task at hand
i found all sorts
of other unnecessary
tasks i would rather be doing
finally at six am
the morning the installers were coming
i could procrastinate no more
and so i dug in
cobwebs, mess and all
into the room
we had not touched in years
after several bags of clearly trash
a few boxes for the recycle bin
i discovered some treasures
amongst the junk
last night i went to
the office
who knew
shreading could be so therapeutic
i eliminated
about twenty five years of my life
in six short hours
and some of the painful memories
 that went
along with it
simply by slicing papers and pictures
 into tiny fragments
of fiber
today i awoke with a new energy
ready to tackle the next
set of drawers
in those file cabinets

It looks fabulous, Dahling! I hate taking on projects like that, but I always end up finding them so theraputic. I just did that to my sewing room last week, and now I am a whole new woman!
