if my only daughter
born with Down syndrome
would be capable or have the interest
...imagine my recent thrill

My daughter is cognitively delayed, yada, yada, yada. And while she shows interest for about 2 seconds she's the off in her own world again.
That must be awesome for the two of you to be able to share your passion.

My daughter Anna, who is 6 and has Down syndrome thrilled me the other day by reminding me to keep my hands off the "feeddogs so you don't get eaten up". It was the first time she had displayed much interest in the sewing machine. I have great plans for this kid.
