i openly wept...

in aisle seven
late this evening
tears streaming...
.
down my face
there it was
april 2011 edition
smack dab between
the complete guide to
glee and my
absolute most favorite
couple
next to the nielsons
that is
i very, very, very
slowly
opened the front cover
almost afraid
yet
giddy excited
like a little girl
on christmas morning
as i read the story
at first it seemed surreal
like looking in
from the outside
then i stood in wonder
amazement really
at how this plan
my plan
the grand master plan
for my life
is playing out
and for that
i have only one creator
to thank

This is such a wonderful, wonderful amazing moment joyce! I got my issue just yesterday and was overwhelmed with pride and deep joy when i opened the cover only to see Sarah's bright smile looking back at me on the very first page! I can't even imagine what it must have felt like for you. What a joyous thing for your whole family. It's such a poignant story too, and one that best expresses the boundlessness of love. Keep doing what you do best...which is being who you are. lots of love and a giant hug to you all.

I did pick up the current issue of American Pathwork & Quilting, because I wanted to read the article about Sarah. I can only imagine your thrill and love when you saw it on the shelf. You should be so proud of yourself and of Sarah. Give hugs and kisses to each other.

Joyce, I just found your blog after hearing about you & Sarah when Kate Spain was on Pat Sloan's talk show the other day. I am SO happy for you and Sarah. My daughter has Asperger Syndrome/high functioning autism. It is not at all the same as DS, I know, but even with this we have the "Will she be able to (fill in the blank)" questions all the time. As she gets older, the more we think about this. Your story has given me such hope. Thank you for sharing this, and for sharing your beautiful daughter, with the world!

By the way, I blogged about you & Sarah today! I hope others will be as inspired by the two of you as I am!
