for the often dreaded

parent teacher conferences

our third born is a charm

a handsome young lad

full of spunk and energy

a zest for living

 his way

a personality that illuminates

a smile that melts hearts

in other words

he often

talks too much

doesn't always listen

especially to authority

and has girls doing all sorts

of things

tonight though

something happened

the words got turned all around

his teachers love him

he's quiet unless called on

his grades are excellent

his assignments are

turned in

on time

he reads shakespeare aloud

better than shakespeare

he's mature

he gives good feedback
so proud of this boy

and

excuse me

mr. science teacher

 are those hexagons

 on that door

i love that design

i mean i luuve those hexies

i walked thru the doors of

three big box stores

in search of a boom box

a simple cd player

with speakers

they thought i was joking

just download your cd's

put them into a computer

the first guy said

and then what

i asked

upload them on your mp3 player

oh seriously

i'm going to spend all that time

to just listen to a

few christmas cd's

in the next store

they thought i was

...well...

old

like ancient history

in a time warp

out of touch

at last i found this one

it will also play my ipod

which i do own

although it's a hand me down

from my oldest son

i just don't want to

take the time to put a bunch

of holiday music on it

maybe i am dating myself

we had a little party

to celebrate a birthday

for one of the painters

i thought it would be nice

to offer up some drinks

coffee, tea, or no not me

i feel like i need

to be wrapped in plastic

when i go in there

today we were inspired by the

annual spring game

scarlet and gray

is a favorite combination of ours

looks like it is for
her majesty Queen Elizabeth II too

... now i admit ms. 4.0 and i

had words the first few nights

she can be a little temperamental

especially when you don't use her

well designed features

the automatic knee lift

and the automatic cutter

and the automatic tension control

i've learned to let go

and just let ms. 4.0 do her own thing

and then she sews like a dream

but there are still days that i want to be in control and

that's when my baby and i

cuddle once more

this can't be good...

...for the waistline

i can't believe

i just ate...

the entire box

myself

and i bought

an entire case because i have this thing

for girl scouts

and all the wonderful memories over the years

the latest model

i headed out to look at new cars

i came home with this...

note to husband and/or sons

upon my death...

scrap my car

it's worthless

...my sewing machines...

post them on eBay

they'll pay for the Buckeye season tickets

...for years:)

one small request...

would the two bidders on eBay...

...trying to snatch this machine

kindly step aside

and let my bid stay in the lead

please...

this auction is ending

when i will

be driving home on the turnpike

from the great lakes regional fabric show

so i won't be able to bid again

...and i really need it

for my new house of fabric
