and soon we discovered

a dental floss container

would work just fine

to cut the thread

alas i had a very productive

flight down to houston

these little paper pieces

take me back to

 my very beginning

days of quilting

so happy to see them

surface once again

i often quilt these

on my own

i needed this one in a hurry

so i called on

 my friend diane

of longarm legacies

she had it

completed in hours

good thing

it is going in the front window

tonight

so close...

to shore

yet

so far...

 is almost

so very close

just a tiny seam away

to being done

but i just can't seem

to find that one

 half hour of time

i need to tie her down

bring her on in

to shore

i must though

reunion by sweetwater

 is about to be

front row and center

in the store

row, row, sew...

a while back

a friend made this flat ironing surface

for us to press fat quarters

in the store

it lays perfectly on top of

the cutting counter

one day i discovered

if i use the edge as a guide

when i press open a seam

i have just stitched

it is likely to be pressed

  more square

which will help

when i go to line up

 the next block

i'm pretty pleased

with how it turn out

gave me the impetus to

start the next one...

i had a teacher

who once told

me the sign...

the back

straight rows

 even stitches

snipped tails

i better get to work on

the snipping part

the rows and stitches

i'm rather pleased

six months...

that's how long

it has

taken me...

...to get to the border

of my tiny

little table topper

stitching by hand

is clearly not the quickest

route to completion

but the love

and satisfaction

can be twice as nice

making progress...

i'm so very far

behind

in my paperwork...

...but it's quite boring

so to reward myself

each month i finished

i stitched one more row

i'm up to november

which means

ten more rows

of x-rated

 are complete

loving luscious...

and making some

progress

with the hand...

remember when i introduced

after some thought

i decided to take it back

a decade or two

ok maybe three

or nearly four for me

when all blocks

were stitched

hand

oh yes i can hear the gasps

you should listen when

customers come

 into the store

and see me pulling the needle

through the fabric

while i'm walking about

i'm loving it

the best hand therapy

ever

does a great job on

the mind too

total relaxation

the end product

retro in the best way

although i've heard

that look is current once again
