 standing in long lines
winding around a big box store
i let my fingers
do the shopping
on my favorite creative site
this little quilted beauty is by
it will soon be hanging in
sarah's sewcial lounge

supporting artists
throughout the land

flip fone friendly...

i've gone
 backwards
 some would say...
.
...i traded in my smart phone
for a not so smart phone
i guess you could say
i went back to
a basic flip phone
it just works better for me
except i can never find it
in the bottom of my bag
lookie what arrived today
a phone pouch
made by the talented hands
an etsy friend
it's just the perfect size
and colors
thanks sandy

wearing cabbage...

there are findings
that i believe
  one must share...
.
...such as this cabbage
i've never understood
why it is referred to as red cabbage
when it is actually purple
yet that is not why
 i bring this to you
no not a color debate
rather
a fashion discussion
would you prefer
cabbage
around your neck
or pizza
 an ice cream sandwich perhaps
maybe an avocado
a sushi ring
might be the thing
i kid you not
i just discovered some amazingly clever
food
to wear
but not if you're hungry

ribbon hair falls...

sometimes
i accidentally
stumble...
.
upon amazing creations
in my quest
for all things purple
like tonight
ribbon hair falls
the etsy description says
they are seen
everywhere
from weddings
to roller derbys
which reminds me
that my friend marcia
and i
were going to go see the
now we must

bar harbor stars for america...

today as we celebrate the
dedication and sacrifices of
those who so proudly...
.
protect our freedom
i'd like to share
found one evening while blogging
it was creatively stitched by
crystal of
frivolous necessity
which she puts as the return address
on the envelope
which i had delivered to my
husband's office
imagine his disappointment
smile honey
when i unfolded this
red, white and blue quilt beauty
the minute i saw it
i knew it would be a great display for our annual
event which will likely move to the store
next year
love this etsy concept
i also appreciate
that crystal is a pet free, smoke free artist
it's the only reason
i purchased from her truthfully
now that i've seen her work
it's an even better incentive to keep
watching her blog
gotta be quick though
her last feature was gone before
i could click on over to her store
happy memorial day everyone
